2019 Auction Summary
Thank you too all who showed up to show your support for this years Linn County Youth Livestock Auction. This year a total of $617,775 was spent at the auction to help promote youth in agriculture. On behalf of the auction committee we would extend a special thank you to Rick Franklin Corp, Ram Trucking, and Knife River for flooring all of the hogs as well as Sayer Farms for flooring all of the goats. We are truly grateful for the enormous amount of support and value you pour into the youth of our County.
This year was also the 2nd year of the Ag Boosters program is Linn County. In total the Boosters spent $23,000 at this years auction that went towards every kid. This program is designed to enable businesses and individuals, who otherwise could not purchase an animal, an opportunity to still support the youth of our area. By pooling these funds, the Ag Boosters were able to support kids by purchasing animals and helping set a floor price for several species. If you would like to join the boosters and support our kids next year, there is a link on the main task bar for you to do so.
We would also like to take the time to recognize those students who went above and beyond with their projects and were rewarded with a Grand or Reserve Grand Champion Banner:
